The Mountain Lakes Library Cooperative (MLLC) is a consortium of three institutions banded together to provide excellence in informational resources, resource sharing between libraries, joint purchasing opportunities, and other ventures benefiting Alabama libraries and their users. Currently, MLLC serves roughly 80,000 residents of Cullman County in north-central Alabama. MLLC members share an Atriuum© Integrated Library System created by and operated for MLLC by Book Systems, Inc. of Huntsville, Alabama. Membership in the cooperative is open to any school, school system, public, academic, or special library in Alabama. The consortium charges no fees for membership, and the only costs paid by members is for access to the ILS.
