All programs begin at 10 AM and are at the library unless noted.

Each student who registers will receive a Make a Splash-READ! grab bag containing bookmarks, a pencil, stickers, and a reading log that can be returned to the library upon completion for a small prize from the treasure chest. There will also be giveaway drawings for books, t-shirts, and free passes for local food and activity venues at various programs.

June 1st Mobile Dairy Classroom—Presented by the Southwest Dairy Farmers, children will get to meet a real, live dairy cow and learn how milk goes from the farm to the grocery store! Program will be held at the Festhalle Marketplatz!! 
June 2nd Make-n-Take: Hydro Bracelets—Make a splash by creating one of these water, glitter and bead filled bracelets. Take them home and show them off to friends!
June 3rd Rubby Ducky Races—Come and decorate your very own rubber ducky! Then, test your skills as we set our ducks loose in the “pond” and see who can get their duck across the finish line the fastest, using only your own breath to make it move!
June 8th Something Fishy w/ Chef Dave—Join Chef Dave as he shows kids how to create some fun “fishy” snacks. Instructions on making snacks and a snack bag full of treats will be given to each child!
June 9th Make-n-Take: Marbleized Paper Crafts —Learn how to use water and paints to create marbleized paper, then cut out your favorite sea animal shapes!
 June 10th Going Coastal w/ Krel Buckelew—Artist Krel Buckelew will entertain and educate children on coastal Alabama’s lighthouses and lighthouse keepers.
June 15th Wheeler Wildlife Refuge—Wheeler Wildlife Refuge will introduce children to some native wildlife of Alabama. Children can view various animal skins, as well as a live snake and a live hawk!
June 16th Pet Depot Animal Show—Children will have an opportunity to view some of the fun and interesting animals from our own Pet Depot store in Cullman. Always a lot of fun!
June 17th Make-n-Take: Life’s a Beach Crafts—Bring the beach a bit closer to home by creating your choice of colorful sand art jars or perfect-for-summer flip-flops made out of duct tape!
June 22nd McWane Center: Wet-n-Wild Science—Join us as the McWane Science Center teaches children about the Wet-n-Wild side of science!
June 23rd Reel in the Fun--Presented by the County Extension office and local 4-H representatives, children will learn to identify various fish, learn about lures, and have a Casting Derby.
June 24th Wet-n-Wild Fun Finale—We will wrap up our program with an outdoor carnival featuring a bubble station, sidewalk chalk, craft station, and a special guest!
